Look Good on Borrowed Goods
You may have heard by now about the American website Bag, borrow or steal where you can borrow a designer handbag for a certain amount of time. There is also a U.K version too. It's a bit like renting a dvd kinda of cool is'nt it?For a monthly fee ranging from £11 to £55, customers can borrow a handbag (now jewellery too) of their choice for as long as they like and then swap it for another. Bag, borrow and steal are not the only ones though there is www.rentfame.com which operates a pay as you go system and has a cheaper monthly rate too of $7.99.If you can afford it you should try it out at least you can still be diva and keep up with the latest trends.www.bagborroworsteal.com and www.bagstealandborrow.co.ukwww.frombagstoriches.com

I always thought she was way too pretty to be doin thug but she was beautiful all da same. She was talented and an artist you appreciated. Aaliyah is definately missed. R.I.P

America's Next Top Model Cycle 7 is here. Yippee!!!I love this show so i had to post it and it does have a bit to do with fashion..lol. Same judges as last cycle for this one. Is it me or has one of them girls got seriously long brows? The black or Asian girl in the front row is stunning and the girl next to her looks a little like Reese Witherspoon. Anywhoo i can't see a winner yet but there some pretty girls in the bunch of course.Source:Crunk & Disorderly

Style Icon Tribute
BlondieAlso known as Debbie Harry. This woman was queen of the charts in the late 70's and 80's with her band Blondie. What i liked most about her was her fashion sense. She was totally sexy and funky. She wore the electric colours, shoulder pads and stone washed denim and wore them well. Her hair and make-up were always on point and very in-style. I believe her style which was very trend-setting has inspired many a rock chick but she remains the ultimate rock chick.
Dressed to Kilt in Tartan
On the runway for Autumn was tartan. If like me tartan just makes you think of Scottish people and Bag Pipes now think haute couture. Hard trend to pull off so only fior the brave. I think tartan is much nicer when not in the traditional red and navy colours.Luella BartleyPink TartanWould'nt it be great to wrap up warm in this great Alexander McQueen coat.

British Fashion Designer Duro Oluwa is the creator of this fabolous highly sought after African print dress dubbed the Hobo.Another great Duro 'hobo' dress.I think this dress is so desirable and good on him he gets extra props because his half Nigerian and doing his thing and doing it well. Here is what British Vogue had to say about him.CURRENT reigning New Designer of the Year, Duro Olowu will be showing off his autumn/winter 2006-7 collection in Paris after a whirlwind 12 months that has seen him woo the fashion world and take the esteemed title at the British Fashion Awards in November. Trained as a lawyer, the British designer, whose father is Nigerian and mother Jamaican, launched his label only 12 months before taking to the stage to collect his award from Laura Bailey. And already he has the reputation for being the type of man who makes you want to wear his designs before you've even seen them. "I think fashion should be joyful – it shouldn't dictate to women but it should invite them into the fantasy of the designer who is making them," he says. Then you see the clothes, and it really is love. First discovered by Vogue's Sally Singer and Julie Gilhart, of Barneys, Olowu is known for stunning fluid dresses, made from vintage fabrics that he finds all over the world as well as new prints that he's been designing himself, and incredibly desirable one-off, vintage-inspired accessories. "I like to make clothes for women to feel good about themselves," he goes on. "And that they don't feel they'll see everywhere." With a less-is-more philosophy and an admiration for Alber Elbaz ("because it's evident from his designs that he likes women"), Olowu, who formerly designed clothes for the boutique on Ledbury Road that he owned with his ex-wife, hopes one day to show on the catwalk - but for now is determinedly staying true to his design philosophy. "Good tailoring is very important to me," he says. "It is the basis of even the most fluid dress." Source: vogue.co.ukCheck his online website www.duroolowu.com for stockists.
On the cover of Vogue is the ever trendy Kate Moss making this is her 23rd cover. Kate looks great in that black suit but then again Kate looks great in all her clothes. Happy 10th Birthday to Vogue!!!
